Since 1995 REC Latvia has been leading Grants programme for environmental NGOs. During this period grants exceeding 200 000 EUR have been awarded to 68 NGOs enabling them to implement 121 project and built their technical capacity. For last two years (2002-2003) Grants programme was financed from the Danish DANCEE programme and Finnish Ministry of the Environment budget. It gave possibilities to 13 NGO to implement activities for 34 321 eiro.
